This newest series of works continues on Elaine's focus of textures, such as the veining of leaves. Textures in nature are often a fascinating repetition of parallel lines.

In this new series Elaine has utilized the layering of glazes and the unique properties of porcelain to result in rich variations of color and textures within the hand sculpted textures of each piece.
